BFBC2 Playerbase

I am seeing around 1000 players ingame at times.
Do we now have a bigger playerbase than that on the "official servers"?

Not even close...

We might add some players to the active community at the moment, but too many copies of BC2 were sold, that we could even reach the original one.

Though we already might draw some legit players to our community (me included).

1200 people already online, thats big enough for full server most of the time.
I started some weeks ago and we had 600 people.

I would like to add that the "official" servers and its playerbase had started to go south much before Rome Emu here came out. Hoping Rome can bring back life to this awesome game once again

I think the fact that players are provided with the ability to host their own servers wherever they want introduces a whole new enjoyment aspect to playing the game, which had been absent before so just this feature alone aside from other incoming ones, would draw even original players(including myself) who are interested and seriously who wouldn't be interested!

Thats because EA/DICE dropped proper support.
BF3 will experience the same once we got our stuff going.

One of the best games out there, I was a fan from the moment I saw the first media on BC1.

Sorry if this is off topic, but do you think we would ever get a Mass Efect 3 emulator? I really enjoyed it on PS3 but dropped anything to do with EA with the whole Origin debacle.

Yea thats true, I own BF3 as well and I think that after the upcoming DLC (EndGame) (which will be the last DLC for the game), it will literally be endgame for the game on official servers as EA/DICE will no longer care about it.

If we could be there to catch that playerbase following endgame it would be really cool . That would be perfect timing before the players forget about BF3 completely, having an alternative would give a second life quickly to it.
