10 fps? I think you shouldn't be playing this kind of games....
If you did everything like in the video then i t shouldn't be able to change it back to "regular" since what this does is to make 640x480 the only possible one.
Please do everything EXACTLY as the video says and in the CRU utility some people might have more "Displays", i'm not sure about this.
Not all monitors are the same, i would be able to help you through Teamviewer or Join me. Other than that, you are on your own.
